Houston Security Alarm

There are many choices out there from “national” security companies who want to almost “give” you a free or low cost alarm system in return for a four (4) year monitoring contract.  They make their money on extra devices from their “standard” package.  An extra keypad, motion detector or door/window contact can bring that final ticket up to a regular system price.

My experience is to go with a local company who has been in business for more than 5 years and can provide you with a reasonable price on a good system.

If you are buying a new home with a system already installed, then you have the option to let any company monitor and service the system.  You are not locked into the installing company, although the builder will recommend them.
